Introduction
This presentation hopes to address a variety of issues regarding learning spaces. These learning spaces include areas within the classroom and beyond. They involve individual/group learning spaces and electronic environments. Significant issues for teachers and students within these spaces will be addressed, along with how the curriculum and pedagogical accordances influence learning spaces.
Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of different learning spaces is of crucial importance for educators. Whether students learn best in open spaces, electronic environments, in groups or in their own individual space depends on the environment that surrounds them. Furthermore, teachers are often involved in contributing to plans for the design and development of new learning spaces. Therefore, the study of learning spaces is an essential element of the teacher’s role and should be addressed and analysed. |
